Project Overview
Working on a previous project with Montague, Oomiak was excited to work on this scope at Narre Warren North.
The Montague team reached out to Oomiak as they prepared to establish a new Drencher, Wax Unit & Drying Tunnel within their VIC Distribution Centre.
After Oomiak’s Engineering team undertook a site assessment of the current capacity versus the initial design, the timeline and scope were finalised.
Part of this included the installation of a reticulated Heating Hot Water (HHW) system that services the air dryer coils. As well as installing a consumed hot water supply to the single wax processing area of this site.
This combination broadly covers the drying of any washed or waxed citrus, a pivotal part in the plant’s process.
Some major benefits that Montague gained from this project are:
- The system has been tuned to their specific needs
- There was minimal to no disruptions to Montague’s day-to-day operations
- Their facility is now better equipped to meet growing demands
The work conducted within Montague’s processing facility has left all parties satisfied, well done to all involved.
