Tarped Ripening – Patented Superchill Systems
Oomiak has the pleasure of offering the patented (patent no. 20092030064) an Australian made and designed Superchill System.
The basis of the Superchill design is to introduce large coil surface areas without the introduction of water to increase humidity. In traditional refrigeration systems, moisture removal from the refrigeration coils is detrimental to the conditioning of the ripening and results in poor product quality.
The Superchill tarped system works by retaining moisture in the cool room to provide exceptional produce weight and quality.
The Superchill system lends itself to pressure cooling or ripening of any fresh produce the customer may desire to handle. The system is also capable of handling different pallet heights and different packaging.
Superchill systems have been installed extensively throughout Australia for customers such as Coles, MacKay Bananas, LaManna Premier Group, Tenfarms, Nutrano and Costa Group.
