Launched in early 2006, Oomiak is a privately owned industrial refrigeration business. Its National Administration Office is located in Adelaide and it has Customer Service Centres in Adelaide, Melbourne and Brisbane.

Before start up in 2006, Oomiak’s research clearly identified that customers were looking for a service provider that could quickly gain an understanding of their businesses and offer solutions that meet not only immediate, but also future needs. The team prides itself on its ability to do so in a diverse range of industries.

Oomiak (pronounced oo-me-ack)is a skin and wood open boat used by the Inuit (formerly Eskimos) to move goods and foodstuffs from one climate to another. We’ve adopted the name for our industrial refrigeration enterprise because we appreciate its qualities, which include: strength and durability • adaptability in tough operating environments • fit-for-purpose applications • and teamwork by strong individuals.

We’ve taken on board the qualities of the oomiak to propel Oomiak Pty Ltd. And we listen to you our customer to get to know your needs and learn about your business and processes so that we deliver performance through understanding.
